Sets:
Definition:
Basically sets are fundamental in all branches of mathematics. Sets are well-defined of distinct object. A set can be finite or infinite set.
We denote set in capital letters A,B,C,.......,X,Y,Z.
and we denote set of elements in small letters a,b,c,....,x,y,z, or any numbers 1,2,4,........., can be sets of elements and so on.
If a is element of A set, the we write a belongs to A set. a ∈ A. If s is element of set B. s ∉ B.
For Example:
Set of a cricket team players are 11 players. or set of your hair, set of dishes, set of glass of set.
- S={1,2,4,...,100},
- A={a,b,c,......,x,y,z},
- X={2,4,6,.........,∞}
